This is the first time that a Proof American Silver Eagle was included in a coin in Chronicle set- added to commemorate Reagan's involvement with its creation. The obverse of the Presidential dollar, like all other presidential dollars, shows Ronald Reagan. The obverse of the medal shows Nancy and Ronald, while the obverse of the proof Silver Eagle displays the Walking Liberty design.
Since the Silver Eagle is the Proof version of 2016, it includes special incuse edge lettering of "30th ANNIVERSARY." On the Silver Eagle, a heraldic bald eagle design by John Mercanti can be seen. The reverse of the medal depicts a bald eagle in front of our flag along with the years of Reagan's presidency.
